Business Partners & Agencies

At Civicorps, we believe in the power of community partnerships. Together with our business partners and government agencies, we are creating opportunities for young conservation workers of color to become the next generation of environmental stewards, diversifying and strengthening the environmental movement and providing leadership for a more equitable Bay Area.

From Port of Oakland to CalRecycle, East Bay Regional Parks to East Bay MUD, our partners know that we have the equipment, know-how and skilled workforce ready to support conservation, recycling and community service projects.

  • EBRPD benefits from the opportunity to show the Corpsmembers what our jobs are like and that they are available to them.

Funders

We are grateful for the support of our large, and growing, community of funders. Together with revenue from our business contracts, the funding support we receive from corporations, institutional funders and individual donors ensures that we can pay our Corpsmembers a living wage while providing them with a great education, workforce training certifications and opportunities, and the many resources young adults need and deserve to move their lives forward and contribute to their communities.

  • As Civicorps continues to change the lives of the youths in Oakland, they have also established strong supporters in the community — one of which is Beneficial State Bank. Whether that is through providing loans or lines of credit or even some of our staff participating as volunteers, we enthusiastically support Civicorps in realizing the potential of every young adult and disrupting the cycle of poverty and inequality.

How to Partner with Civicorps

Interested in hiring a young adult who is ready and willing to work hard for your business and community?

Looking for a business partner with the equipment, skills and trained workforce ready to take on a new project? Civicorps is here for both.

We are always looking for new businesses to hire our graduates into apprenticeships, internships and full employment – and will support the process every step of the way, even after they get hired.

We are also eager to create new business relationships. We have decades of experience and lots of equipment on hand for a wide range of land management, recycling and community service projects. We also have the capacity to train new crews at a moment’s notice.

  • The partnership with Civicorps and Tech Exchange is an example of how two nonprofits can work together to address climate goals and workforce development. Civicorps Recycling recycles our IT assets from East Bay industries. And by hosting two Civicorps interns, we equip them with IT skills. We look forward to continuing this exciting and ongoing partnership!

  • The support system, from both Civicorps and my relationship with the staff in the City of Oakland was above and beyond. Once I joined the City, I would meet these two supervisors from both [Civicorps and the City] on a monthly basis to identify my strengths and areas where I can continue to develop.
