Foundation and Government
Many young people in the East Bay face systemic challenges to education and career success. Foundations and Government Agencies across the Bay Area – and the state – understand that we must work together as a community to overcome deep-seated issues and create new systems that allow all young people and our environment to thrive.
Peter Kim, past Interim Director for City of Oakland’s Department of Violence Prevention, expressed our impact this way: “At Civicorps, we discover stories of young people of color who are learning real skills, earning their diplomas, committing to their futures, and becoming leaders in their communities; stories that mainstream media would often lead us to believe don’t exist.”
At Civicorps, we are committed to building the strong and lasting partnerships that are central to addressing the systemic challenges faced by too many youth and their communities across the East Bay. We appreciate our many partners who share the same vision and welcome new partners to help build a more equitable East Bay.
