Colette’s deep commitment to Oakland and youth development stems from her six years with the Oakland Athletics, where she focused on building meaningful connections within the community through partnerships and local initiatives. Her work involved collaborating with diverse stakeholders, from local non-profits to elected officials, to create a positive impact through the A’s community benefits agreement and workforce development programs. She is currently an Associate in Visa’s Champions Program, where she helps drive impact in the financial technology sector. Her experience in fostering community relationships and managing strategic partnerships has proven invaluable in her current role on the Civicorps Board, where she helps guide initiatives that create pathways to prosperity for Oakland’s young adults through education, job training, and support services.
