What can I put in the recycling bin?
We offer our customers single stream recycling, which means you can put all of your items into one bin and we will sort them for you. Accepted Recycling Materials:

What time should I set my recycling carts out?
We start our routes at 6 AM each day. Please have your cart out by that time or simply set it out the night before.
Where should I set my recycling carts?
Please place your cart within two feet of the curbside or at a visible location by 6 AM on your service day. Please contact customer service or specify the bin’s placement in the description box on the online registration form, if bin is placed elsewhere.
What if my recycling bins are missing or stolen?
If any of your containers are lost or stolen, please contact us at civicorpsrecycling@cvcorps.org or call 510-992-7871 to order replacements.
Please mark your address on your bins. A replacement fee will be charged for lost or stolen recycle bins. Customers are responsible for any theft, loss or damage in excess of normal use.
I have a missed pick-up, what do I do?
Sometimes it can be impossible to pick up your recyclables. Often this is because of a car blocking your container, no foreman on a job site, or some other unforeseen event. Please call us at 510-992-7871 as soon as possible to let us know. Please allow us until the end of the next business day for the issue to be resolved and your recycling to be picked up.
How can I get a lock for the bin?
We offer locking devices for your containers. It is a one-time charge of $30 for the lock. When registering for new service, please request a locking container in the Description Box. For existing clients, please contact customer service at civicorpsrecycling@cvcorps.org or 510-992-7871.
Does Civicorps collect recycling on holidays?
Yes, Civicorps crews work all holidays. If your regular pick up falls on one of these days and you need to make special arrangements, please contact us at civicorpsrecycling@cvcorps.org or 510-992-7871.
Service suspension
Our temporary stop service is available to customers who are away one month or more. To arrange this service, customers should contact us at civicorpsrecycling@cvcorps.org or 510-992-7871.
When are my invoices due?
All payments are due and payable within 14 days from date of invoice.
What are my payment options?
You can pay by mail, over the phone, or set up online payment. We accept Check, Mastercard, Visa, and American Express.
How do I pay/view my bill online
Please ensure we have your correct billing email address as your invoices will be emailed to you with links for your payment to be processed. Contact us to update your billing email. If you have any questions about our invoicing system, Freshbook, click here or contact us.
Do you provide garbage or compost services?
No, we only collect recyclables. For trash and compost service, call Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc., at 510-613-8710.
What is recyclable and what is compostable?
Please see the flyers below describing what can go in each bin. Please do not place recyclables in any collection container other than the blue Civicorps bins.
